Thou shalt not "Kill"....
Traditional translations of this phrase into English have tended to use the word kill. Certain scholars have suggested that this is not the most accurate translation. The key phrase, often translated "to kill" (rasah), began in the twentieth century to be translated "Thou shalt not murder," It is seen in newer translations of the Bible such as the New Revised Standard Version.
Look to: 1 Kings 21:19 (Description of a murder)
Deut. 4:41-43 or Numbers 35:30 (Cities of refuge)
A growing number of scholars now agree that this term for killing in Hebrew that is used in the Ten Commandments is never used in Hebrew Scripture to refer to the type of killing that takes place in a war.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Rev.13:7
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Rev. 13:10
The definition to this one word holds true for bolth, killing and or muder, they bolth hold true for the definition. God explains in scripture why he made it ok for some to kill and others not to.He said becouse your hands are already stained with blood, you do this also. And he warned for another not to kill, becouse his hands where inosent of killing.his hand had no blood stains apon them. truth? jesus said to love your enemys, pray for them that hate you.even unto death? yes,we all die any how.

The reason they did NOT fight back is beacuase negenace belongeth to the Lord. Ther are person He has alotted in life to do wrath of his vengeance as depicted in romans 13:4. The reason Jesus told Him to put up the sword is because as you read further HE HAD to die. He went aginst the will. Asked if he should smite him then did not even wait for instructin just acted in the flesh. THAT is LIVING by the sword. Vengeance is for proper place a time and people. Ordained of God. Rom13:4-6

How long was Jesus with that disciple who cut off the ear of the servant? Jesus never told him to get rid if the sword he told him to put it away. Obviously it was carried for self defense. Jesus gave him the higher road to take....but it was not wrong to defend Jesus. Who can say if the Martyrs or disciples ever fought back in self defense we were not there.

It also says in the tribulation and in the gospels who live by the sword shall die by the sword. Those who will go inro captivityy will go into captivity. Dont forget those who will be kept from the "hour of temptation"Rev 3:10. SO people need to prepare for THAT deliverance.

Jesus told the disciple who tried to defend Jesus and cut off the ear of the servant to not do that as that is not how the kingdom is won, Not one apostle EVER fought back when they were beaten and murdered.
