when they sink ships like this they strip them of everything un-ecological like plastic, oil, chemicals etc.
when they sink it they crate artificial corals for fish and octopus and other sea creatures.

i know but people here just talk and don't think
on the other similar video where they sunk an old warship someone commented : "It would be wise to sink them with nukes and get rid of both"
and he actually had thumbs up given...

@CarlosVilkerman On You Tube, invariably there are going to be attention seeking idiots like this patd2k7 who allegedly 'knows what really happened'. You could have posted a vid just showing puppies playing, and some fool would invariably make some sort of negative comment about it. Nice vid, CV

interesting method for defusing seamines

@bogomir67 yes they do. earlier they did it with old tires but that went horribly wrong: corals didn't want to live on tires and the tires are now floating around at the coast haha :)

Didn't the U.S. Navy do that with an old aircraft carrier too, for the same rason (starting a reef)?
I wonder if they still do that - what with the scrap metal prices so high...

Thanks..... I guess I should go and collect from my participation in the movie....
This is the actual sinking of a well prepared ship in order to create an "Artificial Reef" ..... 5 years later is full of fish and small coral polyps.... but I guess you would not understand what a FAD is....

I think this is a waste of good scrap metal.

Its a good point.... but in some countries or actually in most countries.... they don't have a guillotine in order to cut the metal inside of a dry dock.... so if you were to cut the ship into pieces with acetylene torches... the pollution would be greater for many reasons.
