@Onezy92 Altair was raised as assassin and only knew the live of an assassin while the assassins were a powerful order, made stronger by him.
In Ezios Period, the assassins were pretty much screwed and weakened and both of them, altair and ezio, regained the strenght to the assassin order ;)

in 1500 when you changed clothes you turned white and respawned with your chosen outfit

Hey if you want to have the auctual outfit of Altair when you get to the Assassin's Creed II menu hit the Y for X-Box and I think Triangle for PS3. It will take you to U-Play and you can get the Altair outfit. But you need points by completing certain tasks. Hope this helps =)
