    thats because, those Greeks You see here dancing, lived for thousands years at the black sea region, also konwn as Pontos, thus making these dances as the most oldest and unique Greek dances from times even before ant antiquity, from the so called Hiberian or Hyperborean age. Lazi and Karadeniz-Turks adopted those dances, and many of the Greeks which did not want to leave 1923 their region, e.g. Trabzon, Samsun, Rize etc. stayed there taking turkish names and islam faith
