  • If they're going to include the HUMVEE, then why not the Merkava IV? Seriously, it's got better everything, including number of passengers.

  • @redreaper2020 discovery chanel add him so tell that to them

  • @GNdynames think about it don't just argue, ifv gotta have the speed and merkava isn't as fast at last it's a tank

  • i am an american and i don't agree with this thing being on the list

  • I think they classify this an IFV bc of the combat role it was forced to play in Iraq and Afghanistan and the offensive modifications its had since 2001, not to mention how many battles it's been involved in. I don't personally believe it to be a true IFV bc it isn't outfitted with any real protective armor and has a small carry capacity (and shouldn't be on the list), but it can deliver serious direct or supporting firepower when fitted with the proper weapon like a minigun (like any vehicle)

  • lol, classed a humvee as an ifv .. carrying capacity 4?! fucking lol.

  • this thing is so bad

  • how this beat an lav-25

  • @vamparik "tanks are becoming redundant"?

Tanks have an unmistakable effect on a situation. They're a shock weapon. When you want to announce your presence and show your power, you bring in a tank. The Russians have purely anti-infantry tanks now in production specifically for the purpose of urban combat.

Quiet, versatile vehicles...that's what a humvee is, by nature. It's a big 4x4.

  • @redreaper2020 true the humvee isnt a fully armoured IFV, but now on a modern battlefield tanks are becoming redundant, armour piercing and anti armour tech is widely available, what's needed are fast quiet versatile vehicles,

  • Humvee: Like taking a cannon and strapping it to an old bently and calling it a tank.

  • @TheMJDCProductions The humvee does NOT have armor by design, it was not designed to carry armor, it is not an IFV. If I put two guys in the bed of my pickup, and bolt on a few pieces of scrap metal, it isn't an IFV. A Dunbar is not an IFV. The humvee is a large jeep. That's it. It has had armor bolted on because we didn't have enough real APCs to fill the role, but it's still a jeep, at best an armored truck. Not in the same league as a Bradley or BMP.
