I like the gesture of it all, but my favourite part of it is the blonde rocker type next to him. He just looks jealous of the fact that they could afford to burn it.
The God's retribution question was wonderful aswell, I don't understand the evilness worthy of retribution in the burning, surely the rockers who waste a million pounds on a complete spurn of hedonism is worse?
-
i beleve they make more money then that and they burn a little bit what a fake crap , they just prove how selfish they can be.
-
cause people think it's THEIR money...they burned the queen in the process as well, haha
-
i'm sure they stashed some away haha

Superb analogy!
So true, the money could have been put to better use, no matter how it might have been taxed, portioned in small amounts to relatives and friends, the remainder is WORTHY to someone or some thing.
Thank you for THINKING!! =) ...You analyzed using your own head instead of accepting the pre-conclusions about this.
The only thing that really was not a waste about this is its place in history. I suppose people will always be amused by what they don't understand. =)

I agree to an extent, give someone a million quid and most will burn it by spending frivilously, but they will have some tangible assets as a result, as well as gained value in other ways, being fed, watered, clothed etc. Burning it leaves a pile of ash, with no worth. I appreciate the analogy, the intention of high-lighting how people waste money, but I don't agree it was a worthwhile excercise. I think it's atrocious, the money could & should of been put to better use.

Good figuring. Thank you. =)
No matter what the cost to produce anything, it ends up burned in the end...or in the VERY end. NOt that we can't enjoy the worth of a million dollars all at once while we're here...
If most people were given one million dollars at once, it would be burned very quickly. Given to them one hundred dollars at a time, it would have more worth due to desperation of NEEDING it at the time. =)
-
I beg to differ, MILLION QUID toilet paper would cost as much as it costs to produce a million punds worth of bank notes. It doesn't cost £10 to make a £10 note, the £10 represents the monetary value of it not the cost of production.

'Excrete' more artistic works? Good for you. I haven't managed to get anything artistic at my discretion or excretion in quite a while. Consider yourself accomplished. =) MILLION QUID toilet paper would have cost a million quid to produce and would have in the end been only as useful as WET toilet paper. Art is always unbelievable it seems. =)

These people act like it would of been fine if they spent it on a private plane or something but burn it and people attack them, as stupid as I think it is I have to agree with every point they make.
