  • any one agree when i say pool is the most difficult sport to master

  • @12dance4u1

It is certainly the most challenging and interesting compared to other individual sports (especially leisure sports); although, golf is certainly very difficult at a high level.

  • hey dr dave...are you using a mcdermot alpha?

  • I think that was a Players cue. I use a Predator Z-2 now.

  • so, after you show them all the details of the table dynamics...then add it up for them and show them how the natural angle is only first approximation (and quite rough at that) when you have all these other contributing effects. show them how to hit a 'backitup bank' and a crossover bank....show them how you can control the banks almost purely with speed, while hitting 99% center ball....get it together baby! if you're gonna teach something...doit right, now. peace. -doily

  • I have a summary of all of the important kick and bank effects, along with demonstrations and additional resources in the FAQ section of my website (see the link in the video description) under "bank and kick shots." If somebody want to learn more, plenty of resources are available.

  • WTF!!! hahah i've been using another method and its a LOT more complex than this one.. thanks man

  • couldn't agree more. The best game is a game of subtlety and not of technique. Dunno who u r doilyfilm but i know I'd love to meet on the table. Bet you could write a great advanced text on all aspects of the game. Respect.Jeez it makes me go cold at the thought that nap is basic for some players. Bring it on. gudonyamate

  • You are taking this clip out of context. Mirror-based aiming is only a point of reference. Many adjustments need to be made for speed, distance, spin, English, cut angle, spin transfer, etc. All of this stuff is covered in Chapter 6 of my book: "The Illustrated Principles of Pool and Billiards."

  • yo, D.D. you gotsta shew 'em 'bout da 'collision induced throw' wit all dem udder 'ball-ball collision dynamics'...plus you gotsta know 'bout ball-rail dynamics'..bu den you gotsta sprinkle in a little 'bout felt nap direction and swervin about da tracks...think deeply about simple things....not simply about deep things...knowwhati'msayin? you sellin all dees shorties what's tryin to learn...you sellin 'em short, dawg.
