Forget house plants, go to the grocery store, most seem to stock a small amount of big aloe leaves. I don't know why they stock them, but barely anyone buys them, so they're always there. They cost a little over a dollar, near me. I usually get around 6 oz. out of a leaf, and considering the length of time it'll last in a jar, you won't waste any. Oh, I just got one at walmart too. They store it in the vegetable section. They're about two and a half feet long, and upwards of four inches thick.

Thanks for sharing your story. I can relate, because I suffered with acne as a teen. It was horrible. In the end, I found an effective acne treatment product that worked great for me and I tried them all.
What I recommend to others now is The NeoStrata Oily/Acne Prone Protocol. This product features several clinically-proven ingredients to target oily, problematic skin, resulting in smoother, and clearer skin.

I thought I should keep you guys updated!!! But I am on day 6 applying aloe vera on my entire face twice a day and I am impressed with the result. My skin was terrible on Jan 28th and today is the 31st; my skin is much better and it most of my zits vanished.. well, still some redness, but I am sure aloe will help to reduce and hopefully vanish my redness! I recommend applying aloe vera on your skin twice a day and see what it does. Make sure to use a good soap before applying it (dr.bronner soap

@TheMixturemachine I use it twice a day. I don't rinse it. I usually shower and use Dr.Bronner soap which is awesome for your skin.. it makes it smooth!! That keeps my skin normal. Then I apply aloe vera on my entire face. I leave it on until I shower. It is good for redness, scars (not old scars though..), and minimize zits. Good luck!! remember to use Fresh Aloe vera if possible! if not, make sure you buy the 99.9%

Hey all.. I'm on day 4 applying aloe vera (fresh) on skin twice a day and so far, it makes my skin very smooth.. also, I stopped breaking out like crazy.. because I started to break out a lot with little zits around mouth and it was noticeable... hated it! I stopped using BP 2 months ago which worked super on my skin, but I had to stop. I didn't want to use it for ever.
I'm getting clear, but still breaking out with 1-2 zits instead of 3-4...also, it does minimize pimples and reduce redness. ^^

can i use it in the morning and evening?? you dont have to rinse it right?
-
@tavancutie You can leave it on. I heard it is best to apply it in the evening and leave it on overnight, then when you wake up, rinse it off.
Seriously, this plant is a miracle worker.

I prefer to keep the leaf intact when storing. I cut off what I need to use only.
