World Human Rights Day Uganda

United Nations, December 10TH 2009 Is Human Rights Day, 10 December, UN Secretary-General, H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon urges everyone everywhere to join the fight against discrimination in all its forms. To end discrimination and embrace diversity.

So on this very important day Bryan wants to talk with you about a very important issue that effects all people in the world not only gay & lesbians.

KAMPALA, Uganda -- Proposed legislation would impose the death penalty for some gay Ugandans, and their family and friends could face up to seven years in jail if they fail to report them to authorities. Even landlords could be imprisoned for renting to homosexuals.

Gay rights activists say the bill, which has prompted growing international opposition, promotes hatred and could set back efforts to combat HIV/AIDS. They believe the bill is part of a continentwide backlash because Africa's gay community is becoming more vocal.

I am not gay, but I support gay's rights to choose whomever they feel they want as a partner. I also abhor any killing of gays anywhere, not just Uganda or arab countries, but everywhere. Those people who sue religion, be they Christian or Muslim, as a tool of intolerance, need to know that is why so many people reject religious doctrines because they are so archaic. You folks condoning killing need serious help...especially Muslims!

Well, it's not genocide.

That's why many people ignore these UN type pleas. The alarmist rhetoric takes away any credibility any movement might have. Deadly discrimination of black homosexuals does not mean it is genocide.
