@Marsh0902@Marsh0902 I found her as I was looking for some Brazilian singers who could sing in English, and by filtering the ones who intend to, only a few are left - among which I find her. If for you only native people's opinion are relevant, check this out.
@danielsacavalcante I don't need to have lived in the US or anywhere else to be able to assess her English or even to correct yours - take care about your uses of "I live" and "I think in English" - you should use present perfect here, if you even know what that is. And hey, I don't love her. Actually I don't like her style of music, so all I've heard from her are her versions of some English songs such as this one, Behind Blue Eyes and some others.
@danielsacavalcante But it's not shit, it's just a different accent - and the original one, btw. Well, I'm not graduated in Letras, as you may've thought. And the spealization I've mentioned is not a stricu or latu sensu at all. I meant sth regarding living it and studying it profoundly, so think twice before generalizing all Brazilian teachers or English speaker.
@Marsh0902 Well, who mentioned grammar here? You did! I talked about pronunciation, and, hey, almost-American (with a capital letter), English is not only about the US. There are quite a lot of English accents around the world, and who are you to say that her accent is not correct or to teach her anything on pronunciation? Ask a native English from London or Liverpool what they think of the American accent.. Similarly, they'd say that's shit.
@danielsacavalcante lol, I said it wouldn't be a good idea to discuss. Because you have a different perception... You keep saying grammar and etc... It doesn't make any sense to me dude... My whole education happened in English and in the U.S..
I know you love her, i also think she's FUCKING AWESOME in Portuguese.. You're not realizing that for a native won't matter this eldritch explanation LOL but what he hears... lol Try to listen to a decent native version of this song.. or ask an american.
@danielsacavalcante Hey pal, I beg your pardon but I live in the U.S for 16 years. I've been learning and hearing the ''echoes'' of English for my whole life, and my father is an american. So I don't want to waste my time or discuss with you, I know very well the qualifications of Brazilian teachers and how they're ''specialized'. In any case, as i said, I don't want to discuss it. I think in English for more than 10 years and it sounds like shit to me, if you don't believe me. Just ask someone.
@danielsacavalcante Its name on youtube is "one last breath - creed - misheard lyrics"
Wow, the singer is a native and the assessor as well. So who's wrong? Who can't sing in English? Cheers and merry X-mas! ;)
