@lukebccb No it won't, you know why? Because people respect public property there no one will dare destroy public property its an Asian thing. Just check out the subway in Singapore, Japan and Korea there are no graffiti in sight, its call respect. But I guess people in the west call what you got going there freedom of expression.

lol xD the best part is at 4:50 :)
Speaking "Chinese English"

@ivy8546 But remember the oldest lines of the London tube are 150 years old! it was a pioneer of metro systems.

i think shanghainese are like the warmest people around and not rude at all. i'm half shang.

Don't worry. Give the Shanghai Metro a few years and it will be just as filthy and disgusting as the London Tube and the NYC Subway.

@fragelrocks I agree with you that the NYC subway system is outstanding. I lived in midtown Manhattan in 1969-70 and would not have near the experience there if it wasn't for the subway. At that time the fare was 25 cents and you could (as you can now) ride endlessly through all five boroughs by utilizing the transfer stations.

It's unfair to compare NYC subway to Shanghai Metro. after all Shanghai didn't have any metro line until 1995, so naturally Shanghai Metro will be cleaner. But NYC subway is still one the best systems in the world.

@xxaxziminrax HK Chinese are quick reacting and abrupt - not rude. In fact they can be wonderful friends. I have HK friends 20 years after leaving the city. "British occupation" is inaccurate. We STARTED the place in the 1800s. It was a barren rock. The Chinese accepted that we could create something new and we worked with them for over 150 years to make on of the world's great cities. We handed it back to China in 1997 when the lease expired. HK WAS occupied once - in WW2 - by the Japanese.
I studied Mandarin for 8 years, i'm not chinese so even tho I am speaking chinese the people just look at my asian girlfriend as if she can speak chinese but she can't. its funny. I'm glad 20,000 people looked at this video, i had no idea it was going to get any attention. I don't like China as much as I used to, they closed all the night clubs and basically keep building western style buildings so it just looks more and more not like china.
