@baul104 Ok I can now let the cat out the bag! I drove D-DOT's back in the day.
-
@6V92TA what RTS has a T-Drive set up????
-
We have these trannies with 6 gears!
-
Yeah you're right, the one at MTA shifts like a high pitched B400R, this one shifts like a VII CNG, but in this video it does one of it's funny shifts exactly like a VII would in the same conditions (upshifts, downshifts, and upshifts twice).
-
The MTA ZF does have a rich sound that seems to be better maintained. I think they are 2 different versions too.
-
I don't know man. I think the ZF sounds pretty much the same on the NYCT and DDOT RTS. Slightly different because the MTA is 3 years older maybe?? I ride lots of ZF powered MTA's.
-
Only the VII CNG has a speed governer lol
-
Aight then. I've noticed that with almost all the NYC and Westchester buses :)
-
Alot of ZF ones are starting to ignore thier worn out speed governer (limiter), meaning more speed!
D-DOT has 254 RTS's in total 3200-3232 were ex-Smart 1995 units. the others: 3250-3282, 3290-3299, 3500-3617, and 3800-3859 came from Nova. All have the DD/Allison combo except for 3820-3859 which are 2002 models and have the DD/ZF combo.

To dmcr9525: Except for coach #3787 because it has the Allison VR-731 RH transmission; this was the only one tha had recieved the last V transmission.
