In the most recent Republican debate, Rick Santorum endorsed racial profiling to prevent terrorist attacks, specifying Muslims and younger men. Opponent Ron Paul expressed his disagreement with Santorum's stance.

@HonestMagnet I ask the same question about Christians on a daily basis. The majority of people of faith can be categorized like that. It isn't just muslims who are guilty of hypocrisy. Yet Americans are more than willing to hold the people of the middle east to that standard while they themselves flaunt it.
You might want to take your own advice, and wake up.

@HonestMagnet I'd say that your profile of Muslims is rather simplistic then. Many muslims (albeit higher class) freely do those things in the Middle East today.
Replace the world Muslims with Christians and you'll easily find rhetoric that seeks to explain away statesment like that.
