Surely everybody agrees that it's not ok to present underage people as sex objects. The problem with this ad is that she looks like she might be underage (people who just see the ad in a magazine don't know how old she is), but I think this ad is still ok. I think it's worse when they use models who aren't underage but look like that or are made to look like that in salacious/pornograohic/nude pics.
Take a look at the porno industries which often "sells" young adult women as teens!
She looks underage, therefore it should be banned?..... So if she was 15, but actually looked 20, everything's just fine, because she wouldn't look underage?... I don't really understand the logic :L It should be about protecting vunerable young models. If someone's old enough, they're old enough. End of.
"Semi-nude"! Miley Cyrus was wearing more than you'd see on someone at the beach - her whole front was covered. Just goes to show how twisted the media can make things.
The ban on the AA advert is just one in a long line of examples of increasing censorship in this country. The government did this over their vague definition of "extreme" pornography last year.
If everyone's overage and consenting, what business do these regulatory bodies have in banning this stuff?
I'd say it matters that she was 23. I'm guessing that a lot of the callers agreed with the panel and that the opposing argument was presented in order to have a debate.
