I picked up this old LED display at a surplus electronics shop and wrote a quick test program using a microcontroller. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but I do like the look of it. It's an intelligent display with a built-in 64-unit character set. Each digit is individually addressable, and there's also a cursor function that I haven't tried to use yet. The part number is CDA6-1H16-20, and it was manufactured by Litronix Malaysia on Feb. 9, 1985. It consists of 5 4-digit display units - which appear similar to the Litronix DL2416T and DL1414T. However these are in 20-pin packages.
Do you have access to more of these or willing to sell? I have industrial equipment that uses this display. $100 for it if you will sell.

I've never seen intelligent displays like this before. It's possible that it was meant to be used in an industrial control unit.
