Every now and then this show would cover a topic that was actually historic. This is one of them

nazi =`s socialism !

@ScarlemD Nazi plunder was melted gold teeth and eyeglasses you Jackwagon. Wake up and read a book.
-
@HaulinHearse It was under Al Capone's vault.
-
did they find dracula's gold mine?
-
@JimmySmers In 1972, it was still uncertain it was Martin Bormann's skeleton.
-
@ScarlemD The Nazis looted art works from murdered Jews. The Holocaust is relevant to this episode of In Search Of!

What I find interesting about this show is the way Nimoy goes out of his way to mention the holocaust because he's Jewish himself. Yes, Leonard, we know that it happened, but it's completely irrelevant to the argument. If you're talking about the nazi plunder that you're "in search of", then stick to the issue. I gather that you aren't trying to argue about nazis escaping with jewish gold teeth and the like.
Thank you.

Martin Bormann's skeleton was found in Berlin in 1972. Why does Nimoy keep talking about him as though he's still alive?
If I remember correctly, there was a find of stolen Nazi art recovered as recently as 10 years ago. I think it was quite significant too, in the sheer amount that was located.

The "In Search of" series was a good mix of topics. I don't think there is anything like this being made today even though the use of archive footage must have been quite cheap. Thanks for this. I actually remember this one!
