I'm sure this ad series was a knee-jerk response to the 1968 release of Virginia Slims. Tailored for and marketed specifically to women, VS were wildly successful with the brilliant ad campaign, "You've come a long way, Baby!" which was incredibly effective. Much moreso, I'd think, then this lame copy, "Lady be cool..."

@MrGermanyjon, when Lady be smoke infested corpse in ground, Lady can't be happy because Lady be dead and Lady be buried. Unless she is in heaven, where Lady be happy but Lady be no smoking because there be no cigarettes in heaven.
