The church could have been smart & used it as a tool to attract other christians, but i guess that never occurred to them. If Cleanliness is Godliness, that park is now the devils playground. Pretty ironic.
i miss this place. it was way better than any Family Fun Center as it had a THEME. even in the latter years when they added the waterslide, it was a wonderful place go play as an 80s kid! I read that the Church next door is to blame for the closing. The church was built AFTER the theme park, yet took the owners of the park to court so often for noise pollution that the owners had to sell the property. The church bought the property, locked the gates & & allowed everything to rust away.
@KIMMIELYNNE777 The only thing mediocre-and that is being way too generous, are the schlepps I reply to on this video. Self centered, self righteous douche bags, such as yourself.
@badderthanyou Really? That is the extent of your reply? Well get used to mediocrity, as I will be willing to bet, your life and work will only be as much.
@FingerBangFilms Yep, it was the Disneyland to us kids in the mid 70's to the early 80's. I asked my parents probably over 1000 times to go to this. That persistence yielded 3-5 trips that I won't forget. The go-karts and water slide were added in the late 80's or early 90's. I rode the go-karts in 1989 or 1990 when I went to Granite Hills. By then it was the only thing open.
