There were 839 entrants to this years main event. Each paid $10,000 to enter what was the largest poker tournament ever played in a brick and mortar casino at the time. Many entrants, including the overall winner, won their seat in online poker tournaments.

ya about 50% of the time. he made two more final tables this decade and won the championship back in so I am sure he has hit his fair share of flips

well i think it would be more exciting if harrington won, his runs in 2003 and 2004 might be the closest a former champ comes to a second title that will ever get again. that would be awesome for that to happen to a nice guy like dan. thats why it was so hard to see scotty ngyuen bust out in 2007.
