  • In August of 1990 I knelt in a jail cell and the Son set me free.... All these years later, I now am privileged go into that same jail as a chaplain to help men get free also! If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, you will be free indeed! Thank you, SCC, for allowing the Holy Spirit to use you to pen this song and minister to people like me.....

  • I'm singing this song in church on Sunday! I'm nervous!!!!!!!

  • this is my favorite by SCC! i heard this song when i was a little girl. but now that im older this song means so much more to me. thanks for posting

  • @homeless018 I must agree that this is his best song! and it has such a powerful message of what it means to be truely free in Christ

  • @DckTrcy i'm not Redtailsr, but i will try to answer your question anyway. Redtailsr is most likely asking why WOULDN'T you give all of your worldly goods(which can be taken from you) in order to obtain ETERNAL SALVATION (which can NEVER be taken from you) while you will lose all that you own when you die, NOT EVEN DEATH ITSELF CAN TAKE AWAY YOUR SALVATION IT IS ETERNAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope i have answered your question. thank you.
  • His best song. It's so underrated.

  • This song really uplifts me. Talk about a song that gives you hope. Thank you Steven Curtis Chapman

  • @kykko777 sorry to hear about your loss! but what a blessing that your dad is free through the blood of Jesus!

  • My Dad committed suicide 5 months ago and it has been very hard for my family and I. He suffered with paranoia skitzophernia. This song was played at his funeral over and over and it has uplifted me to keep my head held high and that we are all set free in the wonderful name of Jesus ... Dad, you said you made peace with the Lord before you went and if so, May You Rest In Peace Dad. We all love and miss you.

    R.I.P Dad

    God Bless
