@chance501 Gary Moore(RIP) just passed away a month or so ago. Great blues guitarist and one of my favorites, but not quite in Duane's league.Just MHO. He is in my top 10 tho.
@PLEEUZ all these guys are amazing - all so different from each other and, like you say, it's a matter of taste but I have heard none of them SOLO the way Duane did on the Live at Filmore East album
@theclarkey100 How 'bout Ry Cooder, Johnny Winter or Roy Rogers. These three are ever bit as good. I could name 2 dozen others. Most times these kinds of things are all a matter of taste.
@jojojosmart "rip-off" is putting it a bit strong - I'd prefer "heavily influenced" ...these guys are all great bluesmen and constantly use good stuff from each other. Some riffs and sequences have been around so long they would have to be called "traditional". I'd take it as a compliment if other players used some of my 'original' lines
