I'll 3rd that. Johnny Horton would have been bigger than Elvis had his life not been cut short. He was definitely the most talented artist during the late 50's early 60's. I can't get enough. Why not a movie about him????

Damn.. that record player puts off a good sound, my first memory of music was a tape my dad had in his old truck of Johnny Horton. I remember listening to it while he was out spoonbill fishing trying to get him, mom and I some extra food to eat back when times were hard when I was a youngin.. a good memory I will always remember tho..

in one band i played for, Gregory Edmunds, originally from Pittsburg, now living in Saskatoon, Sk, played a great version of this song, its where i learned to enjoy this song.

I have always thought that Johnny had one of the best voices I have ever heard! I used to listen to his albums over and over, and had a hard time relocating this song! My album was wasted from so much play!

Une oeuvre de toute beauté !
Grady Martin : je le considère comme étant le plus inspiré des guitaristes de rockabilly...En tout cas c'est celui que je prefere !

It may be Johnny playing lead....he was very good guitar player as well as the best voice that we have ever had.
