All you need is razor wire around the side and a .50 on each corner. That'll stop those fucking parasites.

PRIVATE FUCKING SECURITY ITS EXISTED FOR YEARS WHY CANT THEY HAVE IT!

@mrhello111 it could help but if there money in merchant ships then piracy will never stop so the navy and marines are probably gonna be there for a long time the last operation was in 1816 now its near enough 200 years later and were at it again in the old days the goverment paid and armed pirates to harass french and spanish ships but the daft thing is they used against our too now there bk and theve got ak and rpg there here for one thing merchant good and there here to stay for a long while
-
yes marines ill be one one day

Simple answer and a much easier 1 that what @mrhello111 suggested instead of trying to help a war torn and corrupt country like Somalia where UK and US government founding would be harder to keep track of. Why not enforces hight restrictions on the shipping companies so there is no more low decked ships. The Navy pointed out that its only the low level ships that are attack so spending the money to upgrade stops the lose of money in the long run, its a win win... Its not science its common sense

Is a joke, and adding the time for preparation and the time it takes to arrive there,
there is 2 options
A: they are already being pirated
B: false alarm.
the little time span they got to is impossible task to demand.
-
@mrhello111 I doubt they are here to help the somalian people as much as protecting internation trade. Don't forget the ships they are protectings are usually due for europe.

I think we can all agree that wasting these Marine and Navy mans time and spending million of dollars on a pirate cat and mouse game is pointless and even more so with the tactics they use, only being able to stop a pirate ship when in the action of boarding a cargo ship and if arriving to late, not being able to do anything after the fact .

"1) so the pirates don't take it out on the crew in any form of retaliation. And B) because if you get too close...." HA! great reporting Ross.
how frustrating is that then? fucking frustrating - yeah roger that lol

@mrhello111 It would cost countless billions more to rebuild Somalia which has been falling apart for over two decades, think rebuilding Afghanistan times ten, at least Afghanistan has a reasonably strong central government. I agree that more needs to be done on the development side, but the best immediate solution to the piracy problem is to kill the pirates on sight, making piracy a much more dangerous and therefore less appealing profession.
