While on holiday on Tobago. I thought this was a river walk and was not expecting to find a waterfall with a pool suitable for bathing. There's an upper deeper pool, but you need to be really agile to get at it. Mark, our guide, jumped into that one twice but I was too slow with the camera.

Tim & Louise in the water with me; Jonathan and Emma on the bank; and Mark briefly visible at the far side of the pool.

Not all tour guides are equal. We got quoted TT$900 per day by one bloke -- then about US$130 -- and we don't know whether that was for three of us, or each. Mark on the other hand .... we got a deal via family connections, so the price of the day's hike for us seemed close to nothing, but ... hey, that day was the most fun I'd had all year, and then some.

Mark, as well as being an accredited tour guide, has two cottages to let, see http://www.tobagoretreats.com/ .

Recommended by this customer? Oh yes. Thoroughly.
