  • what size air pump do you have??

  • @bstaylor3 That is a Tetra Whisper 20 with a 12" air stone.

  • make the 5 glofish they like schools of 4-6 or more, tiger barbs and glofish get along great as well, maybe one more glow and 4 tiger barbs? or any barb really.

  • @stupidplants Thanks for the advice. I bought two tiger barbs and added them to my glofish. My glofish are my most active and enjoyable fish.

  • @ilovehammies98 you need a stronger pump, not sure how strong though as this is what i am trying to find out.if u have a strong pump, try scrubbing your stone as it may be blocked :p

  • Airstones are so cheap, if they get blocked they are easy replaced you can by bags of 20/30 1" airstones for around 5 quid my 12" arstone was only £2.59 :p

  • hi, nice tank... i have 12" airstones too but not sure what size of pump i'll need to get full use of the stone??.... any help appreciated.

  • @MonsterHunterGirl98

For a start, the tank is too small for the Koi that you have, as they get VERY big!

I find air stones to be good for a short period of time. Even if the pump you use is very powerful the air stones tend to get clogged up and less bubbles are produced.

They will need to be scrubbed with a brush to get rid of algae.

Air Curtains/diffusers are better and last longer.

They are either soft foam are plastic, and last forever! :-)

You could also get one plant.

  • I have a question:

I have some koi fish in my room in a 5-7 gal. tank and they keep coming up to the surface to gulp air. I know I need a plant or air stone but I want to know how long an air stone lasts? I don't want to buy a plant that I don't know how to take care of. Thanks! :)

  • thats a really nice looking tank

  • get more fish cool vids keep them comin

  • @ilovehammies98 air pump is nto strong anough, i dont know how get happy middle with bubbles and air pump... i just got a big air pump and got some air restrictions on it

  • Hi I really need help.

I noticed you have the same airstone as me, and yours looks different. My bubbles only come out for 6 inches. Like, bubbles arent coming out from the entire thing, just 6 inches. Please help! Is this normal? I just plugged it in an hour ago, btw.

    Thanks!

  • nice fish tank looks really good.
