I would have never known! anything besides an english teacher? hmm... I know a person who's sister lives in japan working a lawyer?
-
No, you have to have a reason to stay in Japan, and a school if you're a student, or the business you plan to work for has to sponsor you for the government in order to get and renew your visa. And yes, anything beyond being the cliche english teacher is almost impossible to do here.
-
Wow, sponsor a visa? hmm... I thought you only had to apply for one. But..... if they dont want foreigners then shouldn't it be near impossible to find work?
-
Oh, it can be hard, make no mistake. If you're sincere in your intention of staying here, you better have a realistic idea of what you're getting into. Finding a place to work that will sponsor your visa is very difficult, and becoming a japanese citizen is almost impossible for anyone without any japanese blood, and the government does it that way on purpose. They don't want foreigners here, and only the persistent really manage to. Such a harsh reality! But that's just the way it is...
-
I plan to live there someday :) I hope it's not too hard XD

It's a hard place to live. It's difficult to adjust, there's lots of discrimination towards non-japanese living here. It's pleasant enough, though. I wouldn't call it 'fun'- it's not a theme park! :P But it's somewhere to live, and even with all the troubles that often arise, it's not so bad. :)

You're lucky, ne. Is japan fun? :P
I agree,I wish some of the interviews, like this one, were subbed so the english speaking fans could enjoy it more too,but still, seeing Atsushi all smiley and laughing and as handsome as always,it makes it all worthwhile, despite the language barrier.
