Powerful performance of My God from the album Aqualung, live at the Tanglewood Music Fair in Lenox, Mass back in July of 1970. For the hardcore fans who knew of this show's existence I edited out that annoying time-code at the bottom. Purists may scoff but I think it makes for MUCH BETTER viewing on TV for most people and even gives a surreal/Woodstock feel to it.
There are some audio drop outs early in the concert that i cannot fix and don't want to patch with audio from other shows. It's not that bad and only lasts a short time. This is too good a concert to pass up because of that.

*humorous note - notice Ian having trouble adjusting the mic when he gets up to sing. He signals helplessly to someone off stage about the problem but doesn't miss a beat!

- The original film of "The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles" that was shown during the Passion Play concerts

My favorite era of Jethro Tull includes the CDS:
- This Was, 1968
- Stand Up, 1969
- Benefit, 1970
- Aqualung, 1971
- Thick as a Brick, 1972
- A Passion Play, 1973
- Warchild, 1974
- Minstrel in the Gallery, 1975
- Too Old to Rock n Roll, Too Young to Die, 1976
- Songs From the Wood

If you are new to Jethro Tull and have enjoyed watching all the progressive rock clips that you see on youtube I suggest that you go out and buy these CDs. They are from Jethro Tull's prime and I think you would enjoy them.

  • Good song but the flute solo is just awful.

  • 4 months since last post.

Greatest show on earth, try to top this.

  • Much more provocative lyrics than the original track... I LOVE IT !!

  • anyone who, actually, saw Tull at the place in time will, surely, remember how powerful and how dynamic this band was. They were probably the finest live performing rock band in history...and they were, certainly, paving new ground in rock. So glad to be reminded of this era in their liver performance.

  • Fuckin shit I love how Clive drums.

  • I was at this concert! It was totally amazing. I still think back on it as one of the all time greatest.

  • Ian's solo is unbelievable good.... man, that took some endurance ... just super

  • ANDERSON + BARRÉ = MASTERS!!!
