  • hey im just wondering... im 13 and i wanted to know, does this help with acne??? My acne isn't bad, but i still feel like people are staring at my face and not me. It also doesn't help that i go to an all-girls school and pretty much everyone seems like they have PERFECT skin... and i have one more question... How long will it take my face to clear up if i do this every day???

  • @laurenlawhead doing this over the acne will irritate your skin. i would definitely not scrub those areas. it would not help with the breakouts. if you're 13, your skin must look brand new anyway. :-)

  • Im a guy and just recently bought an exfoliating wash towel and it does wonders! It makes my skin extremely smooth! But I have some black heads on my nose, which most of them are removed and i still have a few on my forehead.

I think an exfoliating towel works better in this process because its designed to remove dead skin cells. I just really want all of my black heads to be gone, and have perfect skin.

Do you use any moisturizers after a shower or apply any moisturizer to your face?

  • @makaocloud I prefer a wash rag because it's rougher. I have tried exfoliating pads, but found them too soft for what I wanted.

I don't use any moisturizers, no. I had acne growing up, and to this day I don't like using any moisturizers or creams on my face. I do put up with sunscreen though.

  • If you have acne and you chemical peels for that reason then this procedure will not work. When I get chemicals peels for my acne, my skin gets really clear. I think If I rub this towel on my acne face, it will not what chemical peels do for me. I can see this working for people who have over all good skin and dont have conditions like acne or skin too sensitive.

  • @XUVIANCE Thanks for sharing. Of course I have no experience with chemical peels myself and only think I figured what the ultimate result was and compared it with what happened for me. Great point. Appreciated. Thanks.

  • I am A dermatologist, and what you demonstrated here is very effective, but by far not a secret. Facial scrubs are sold at every Walmart !

Here is a tip for you: Lay down in the bathtub, with a soaked towel on your face, leaving just enough space to breath. Keep for 15 minutes, re-soaking it if it gets dry. Then use another DRY towel to scrub. The water will soften the "dead skin" and it will come off like butter, then moisturise :)

Rubbing hard doesn't hurt, as long as you don't have big (zits)

  • u twat i did this this morning and my skin hurts like hell and now there is a blister type thing there

  • i dont have acne but this makes sense, obviously you guys are doing it to hard -_-

  • Hi, id like to know, as you have recommended not buying a clarisonic and just using a flannel, why do you have another video saying that you think the clarisonic is a great product. Im just trying to work out if its actually worth buyng the clarisonic or not or just keep with the basics and scrubbing that skin by hand!?

  • Bullshit

  • Using a washcloth to exfoliate is a great option, but you absolutely should NOT "scrub until it hurts". Terrible advice! You run the risk of removing living layers of skin, increased sensitivity and even causing broken capillaries.

Gently and often is the key to making it work.

  • @ 3:00 you sir are talking about dirt transfer theory!

  • i am no longer taking advice from you

  • @TheMrFrontera "Using a rag and rubbing it until it hurts is a terrible idea."

You are 100% right and is why I will never listen to this guy again. After applying a towel to my face and "putting a little elbow greese into it", I ended up with a rug burn on my cheek! Now maybe I don't know my own strength, but nowhere in his video does he warn not to scrub too hard. In fact, he seems to encourage it! Now I got to hope that this thing heals all right.
