It has been said that those who ignore history are condemed to repeat it. It's true, I failed history and had to repeat the 3rd grade.

There are many definitions of Fascism. This video uses Naomi Wolfe's broad definition:

When a state uses terror against the individual in an attempt to push back
democracy.

BUT WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT IT?
Here's a good list:

  • @islandmuffin

The certainty with which you are wrong is very amusing. Fascism is not related to socialism in origin at all. Socialism actually pre-dates Marxism, and your notion that "fascism has its origins in the Left" betrays a severe lack of an understanding of history.

It's funny how you say Laissez Faire economics equals "freedom". The 1930s fascists said something similar.

  • @arthurneddysmith ...meaning that the whole video is unreliable? Just what are you saying? Are you attacking the point of the video? Speak up!

  • While the "academics" debate fascism vs socialism vs communism, the globalist bankers are stealing your money and your country. Fascism and Communism are both dictatorships, they both require a police state, they both result in oppression, they both facilitate war as a tool of expanding the empire, and historically they are both financed by elite banksters. Call it what you want, it's tyranny and you won't stop the repeat of history by debating which brand of tyranny it most closely resembles.

  • Ur all trolls... Point 1 is moot...moot? Who says moot?

  • That is not fascism thats dictatorship

  • @TheOriginalLonestar

    A. is not moot. Two-party systems cease to be viable as such when they don't differ on important issues e.g. when they both prove incapable of dealing with the public debt issue in any way other than 'the other guys are at fault'...

    B. I wasn't making up a definition! not at all. Real life may be evolving new definitions for developments in the 21st century that resemble those in the 20th century - but are not exactly quite the same in some ways.

  • @UpSky2

Point A is moot. 2 parties mean you have a choice; if you don't like the 2 main choices find or create another.

Point B is stupid. You simply can't make up a new definition for Fascism to suit your own purpose. It's highly misleading too.

Point C is what it is. Think hard about what I was trying to say & remember America's first and decidedly non-Fascist motto: E pluribus, unum.

Good luck to you. - Al

  • @TheOriginalLonestar A. when parties cease to differ on the important points of Fascism and an establishment of it, they cease to be two parties where that matter is concerned.

    B. 'new' Fascism could well be unlike traditional early-20th-century Fascism, just as it differed (for quote-good-endquote reasons of that time in history) from previous similar developments.

    C. Social individualism ?? someone celebrates that, except behind closed doors? I have never winessed such.

  • @TheAntiFascist2010 fascism is far right for the nationalism.

Socialism and fascism are polar opposites

  • Funny how Americans have a warped political spectrum

Fascism is the far right, all around the world people know and say this.

But Tardish american conservatives say its the left and like socialism,.

Fascism and socialism are polar opposites

one is the far right, the other the left

  • #10 is so true, especially now with the Occupy Wall Street Movement!
