Born in the city of Holguin, Cuba this young baritone began his musical
studies with Raul Camayd, Cuban Baritone and also Director of the Lyric Theater and Superior Arts Institute of the same city. One month later on the same year (1989) he became first company soloist of the Rodrigo Prats Lyric Theater, performing with them a huge selection of Cuban and Spanish
Zarzuelas until the year of 1995 when he moved to La Habana and started
his operatic career as first soloist of the Cuban National Opera performing
with this company all the titles roles for baritone of the company repertoire.2000 was the year when he abandoned his country to the city of Mexico DF,Mexico, where he lived for a year before moving toUSA. Career Chronology:
1989- Began his musical and voice technique studies and obtained his first job asa company soloist.
1992- Traveled to Korea, Russia and China making a concert tour singing
Korean, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Cuban and Italian classical music and he also won the third prize of the spring Festival that took place on the city of Pyongyang, among others experienced singers.
1994- Won the Great Prize of the fourth National Contest Rodrigo Prats inmemoriam.1992- Traveled to Korea, Russia and China making a Concert's Tour singingKorean, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Cuban and Italian classical music and also participated on the fourth spring Festival of the city of Pyong Yang winning the third Prize among other experienced singers.
1994- Won the great Prize of the fourth National Contest for Young opera singers Rodrigo Prats in-memoriam.1995- Won the Great Prize of the international contest for young opera singers Ernesto Lecuona in-memoriam and moved to the city of La Havana to become first soloist of the Cuban National Opera. This same year he traveled to Spain,France and Portugal with this company singing the roles of Enrich Ashton and
Giorgio Germont.1997- Traveled to Colombia hired for the Pro Arte Lirico de Bogota Foundation,
performing with this company a series of 5 Spanish Zarzuelas.2000- Traveled to Mexico hired for OCESA productions an Anglo-Mexican company to participate in the production of the Broadway musical "The Man of La Mancha".
2001- Moved to Miami, Florida where he has performed on a series of concerts.
2004- Won the fourth Prize of the Belle Voci competition for young opera singers of the city of Eugene, Oregon.
2005- Made several concerts with the group Friends of the Opera singing arias and duets from different composers like Verdi, Puccini, Leoncavallo etc.
2006- Went to Chicago to participate at the Grand Park Festival.
2007- With the company Pro Arte Grateli he sang the title role of Juan Pedro of the Spanish Zarzuela "La Rosa del Azafran".
2007-With Miami Lyric Opera he sang the titles roles of Rigoletto and Il
