Installing The Generator

The next time you drive down Guadalupe by the University of Texas campus, be sure to check out the new construction on the northeast corner of Guadalupe and Dean Keeton (26th street). Right there on the corner, as part of the College of Communication's Belo Center for New Media, you'll see the future home of KUT.

One of the things we're most excited about is that for the first time in our more than 50 year history we are going to have our very own electric generator! With this marvelous (and exceedingly large as you will see) generating powerhouse, we'll be able to stay on the air next time there's an unexpected power interruption here on campus. We're thrilled about this and we'd like to share that excitement with you.
