  • There are 2 x 1500w elements for a total of 3000w. Air is drawn from the outside. Ideally power for the contactor would be derived from the fan switch but even that is not foolproof. The flaps could be set to cold air for example. Therefore , I use a bit of common sense regards switching the heater power. That said it will only energise with the key on so cannot be left on accidently in that regard.

  • Thanks for another interesting and informative video. Do you ever show the car? or do any workshops.

  • @DanFrederiksen or trigger by fan speed

  • and what happens if you leave the heat on but no fan? does the car burn down?

perhaps it should have a thermostat

  • nice

do you recirculate the air or just keep heating cold air from outside?

    also wouldn't it be better with 2 230V elements rather than run 3500w through a 1500w unit? : )
