  • carfax works by taking yuor money. VinAlert is much cheaper

  • make a comment on the official carfax youtube videos and a "waiting approval" box appears. They seem all too aware of those that are not fooled by them.

  • YEA BUT THE THING THAT SUX IS THAT YOU CAN NEVER SEE PIECTURES OF THE CAR WHEN ITS WRECK IM JUST SAYING IF A BUY A SALVAGE TITLE CAR AND I KNOW ITS SALVAE BUT I WANT TO KNOW HOW BAD WAS THE WRECK

  • It's a common misconception that any organization is "obligated" to report anything to CARFAX. CARFAX goes out and gets the information from over 20,000 public and private sources including all 50 DMVs, law enforcement agencies, body shops, dealers, insurance companies, parts suppliers, and other sources. Their database includes over 7,000,000,000 records and is growinig by several million records per day. State DMVs do NOT communicate with each other so a clean title in one state may not be.

  • damage i did a new carfax and it showed that they got the damage reported on the same day. There are more coincidences like this online...

I suggest to all avoid carfax, get a real report from the DMV or the MOT (Canada) - these are usually more detailed.

Also have a mechanic look at it from the bottom! Its worth 1000 words!

Unless you want a 4 year car that has a rusting away frame that you paid full price for. Then go ahead and rely only on the carfux

  • the VIN number, but that was 2 months ago, I already bought a car here but It would have been better to buy it from the USA , I would have had a newer used car.

  • ok but whts tht number tht u should enter to get info on your car ???

  • yes i dont have the choice to choose my country on their site. I live in Bolivia not in the USA but I have paypal and credit card.

  • wht u mean by bolivian ?

  • as a bolivian I cant sign in with carfax. any advice?
