Sorry ruthy, I got you mixed up with icu109's comment about meeting CC. But I still appreciate your comment about how you were impacted by Colleen Corby's work and your astute observation about how we all thought she was "ours" . So many identified with her that sometimes I think of her like the literary character EVERYMAN, except in Colleen's case, she is a sort of EVERYWOMAN upon which others projected some piece of themselves. Interesting how that happens.

I agree ruthy102! I think that book would be a service. Especially now a days. That's a good idea for them to collab if they don't want to go it alone. Of course Terry Reno did do a book called The Model (1967). It's lots of fun. Question: I'm curious. Exactly how did CC impact your life?

Sorry I am late in responding to this Angora,Colleen taught me how to dress to do my makeup,to be elegant,and above all to be respected. There isn't a woman from my generation who doesn't know who she is. Like Oprah Winfrey told her I thought you were black! We all thought she was ours and wanted to be related to her somehow. What a lady,the model version of Audrey Hepburn my life long idol.Colleen in a class by herself!

Colleen should really do a book. I bet she has plenty to tell. She made such an impact on my life that today I still think about her.She could even make it a joint project with Terry Reno and some of the other 60's beauties.Thanks Colleen for the memories!
