It's really hard to hear what the plugin is doing when:
1: The narrator is talking over it so much. Critical listening doesn't happen over a few milliseconds.
2: The sound bite you are using changes in timbre so much. Could you use a sound that is a little more consistent? That is to say: you should use a sound that is more consistent.
3: You are using as an example a sound/song that is already 100% electronic. This would be a bit more convincing on voice or other acoustic instrument.
