@CreamyButta I'm laughing at the idea that Greenpoint is a ghetto. Some might consider it a hipster ghetto, but that's about it. Greenpoint is hot real estate, and has been for awhile now.

I came to this country in the 80s & to me 42nd was SCARY pimps, whores, dope fiends, fights, bums sleeping in the middle of the street, trash EVERYWHERE drug dealing & scams all going on under BRIGHT LIGHTS..

I felt safer walking through marcy projects in bedstuy & pink houses in east ny ..

but to this day... day or night u will NEVER catch me in greenpoint!

IMNHO there is nothing worse than a pink ghetto those polish people are OUT OF CONTROL over there..

@CreamyButta People who don't live in New York think Harlem is a ghetto because they've seen it only in movies, or have images of previous eras in their heads. What's the average rent for a one bedroom in Harlem? I don't mean to say it's utopia but it's not even close to being a ghetto, relatively speaking. Times Square, even in the 1970's, wasn't even close to being the worst area of New York.

@202pdiddy many parts of Harlem have ALWAYS been nice! but since mainly only black and brown live there the world view it as a ghetto. But, now since a lot of pinkies live there and Bill Clinton lovers.. i mean office is there .... they are trying to say it isn't a "ghetto" And Times square used to be the scariest GHETTOEST place in NYC!
