Oh, not really. This synthesizer is also heard outside of trance, hard house and those stuff.

@BlackFragment - I agree. I own a Virus B and it is an amazing peice of kit with a large amount of classic vintage analog sounds from both the 70s and 80s for use in creating those textured synth tracks of those era's. The Virus range is much more than just a dance/trance synth.

The Virus is used worldwide not only for electronic music, be it the cheesiest uplifting craptrance or industrial-combichrist-obscure­-neverheardof-dark electronic :)

@therealKINDLE It's actually the main synth my band uses on our new record. I use it (the desktop version) live as well. In addition, it's quite common in the hiphop/RnB world now too.

In my opinion, it's the best overall synth if you factor in price, live use, versatility in various genres, portability, and how easy it is to learn.

I'll post a demo using mine sometime soon I think.

@therealKINDLE check out the hall of fame on access site, most of the musicians there are not hard house nor trance producers.
