My 08 Fabia 1.4 TDI Greenline has reached the average 73.5mpg on the computer and rising by my careful driving. This is probably the same engine block as the VW Polo but so much better but the gearing is different and you have to get used to not staying in the wrong gear for longer than you should. The engine is noisier but I have got used to that. Because of it's height , the car doesn't like heavy braking on tight corners and seems to slide.

What would you get at 56 mph on the Motorway, with the cruise control on, and, also, does the cruise control affect economy, and if it does, then by how much? Cheers. Also, what would you get doing 80mph, with cruice and no cruice control

there is no cruise control on this car, the newer Greenline II model has this but a smaller 1.2 diesel engine.
