C'mom I live in Portugal, for me Portuguese olive oil is Portuguese, like wine, fish, and meat....

@jeanmunn Isn't that sort of the point of what Heston does? Taking familiar recipes and re-imagining them for a modern audience, whilst retaining enough core elements to maintain a spiritual connection to the original.

If we are talking about authentic Bagna Cauda this Blumenthal recipe is far removed from anything like the original.

I love proper Bagna Cauda but this version is wrong. It's traditional and doesn't need reinventing. It's like me reinventing chicken soup by adding beef. Just leave alone.
