i am glad, that i never watched this movie in cinema. i am a 36 year old man now, and even i saw this film about 50 times already, i"m still crying like a 6 year old girl.

If we were at the end of days as it is put, then we better get our group hug on and change this shitty way we live in order to stay alive! peace. Anyone notice that billy bob Thornton says it is a 60 hour trip to the moon or station...I can't remember, but just under 3 days. Very quick time laps for the film. All Liv Tyler does is lay on different tables and councils and look plainly sad. And if my father was saying goodbye for the last time in this situation, I would be screaming at him crying

Shedding some light on the God question briefly...if this movie "was" real...and they were praying to God, then you see that in the end of the movie through sacrifices of all kinds. we save ourselves due to love for life and love of each other. We don't learn that unless darkness shadows our light and we work to fix that. We will never learn to better ourselves unless we stumble. The asteroid is God's way of saying wake up now and work together as a whole for once or die. Stop being selfish peo
