Classic Game Room HD reviews ASTEROIDS for Nintendo DS / Gameboy Advance GBA portable video game system. This Asteroids review filmed on Nintendo DS has gameplay footage from Asteroids, originally an arcade classic from 1979! Published by Atari, Asteroids retains the original vector graphics style old school retro 1980's arcade coin-op classic video game feel that we all love. The game cartridge for Gameboy Advance works on Nintendo DS (not DSi) and also comes with Pong and Yars' Revenge on the same cart. Dope!

  • FUNFACT: Asteroids racked up so much sales in the arcades that they had to put in a bigger coin box in the machines.

  • But a pancake camera would be awesome.

  • I have this game on Atari 2600 :D

  • Asteroids is one of the first shooters

  • I'm now developing asteroid game my self :D I came here just to exam how ship physics work... But you didn't move most the time lol.

    Nice review thought...

  • WTF? Why don't you move at all? :D

  • @john17972 Actually... the Arcade version is faster. This version does look faster than versions I've seen ported to other consoles though. The Original Pew-Pew Game :)

  • I notice that you can shoot faster in this version of asteroids and the sound is different. Yars Revenge aint worth the lint between my toes.

  • this game takes me back

  • PewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPew!

  • When he said it came on a game cartridge with yars revenge and pong i thought it sounded familiar so i opened up my glasses case full of GBA games and oh crap there it was.

  • @crazyzach5 FUNFACT: Pong became so succesful that when the arcade machine filled up with coins it stopped working
