Prescription pill addiction is not what first comes to mind when many people think of drug addiction; they tend to think more of addictions to alcohol or illegal drugs. Most people do not think about the possibility of an addiction to a prescription drug; however, prescription pill addiction is becoming more and more common in the United States.

Believe it or not, illegal drug usage among teenagers is actually on the decline, but on the negative side, prescription pill addiction is on the rise among out teenagers today. Since this is becoming a growing problem it is important that people become more aware of this type of addiction so they can spot it in friends or family members.

In some cases people end up being addicted to prescription drugs unknowingly as their body becomes more and more dependent on the drug. On the other hand, some teenagers and even adults actually seek out prescription drugs because of the great feelings they get when they take them. In fact, there is actually quite a market for prescription pills on the street, with pills like Vicodin selling for up to $10 for one pill, or oxycodone for $20-$50/pill.

Going by that logic? You need a lesson in logic. If one thing is good it doesn't mean something else is bad, or vice versa. Everything stands or falls on its own merit. If you find that dancing on a wednesday, for instance, helps diabetics stay alive then great, add it to the list along with insulin. Big Pharma is evil, but don't lie about the figures or use mindless logic to make your point.

THEY DON'T TREAT THE CAUSE . its like "looking at the forest but not seeing the trees!!. For example -People take asprin to get rid of a fever..Elevated body temperature ( a fever ) activates the immune system to speed up the self healing process..Taking an asprin for a fever is like pouring petrol over a fire!. Good bacteria is the digestive systems best friend!..We need it! ..Degenerative diseases are caused by imparied cell respiration due to lack of oxygen at a cellular level..Cancer cannot surive in a Ph level of 8.0 it dies.!.. @Brownbear7388 I suffered from Rheumatism for many years..it was the raw food diet that cured me 100%.. Lupus is also cured from the raw food vegan diet.. The raw food vegan diet is the Alkaline diet..Disease, pathogens , viruses etc. do not survive in an alkaline environment.. They only live in an acid environment.. Acidic foods are - meat, dairy and cooked foods.- Consuming acid foods leads to acidosis..and open a person up to almost any disease under the sun..

@Rawvegan2012 Not everybody is born perfect. Rheumatism and Lupis are conditions which used to cripple people before drugs that treat it now. These are conditions where the body actually attacks itself. It is not because of poor diet or exercise by because of a biochemical misfiring. What god creates that? I agree that good diet and lifestyle are by far the best preventative measures we have. But illness is unavoidable sometimes. Bacteria, viruses and parasites kill indescriminantly
