Protest police violence!Defend freedom and human rights!

Starting on 3 November representatives of Chinas Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS) visited Taiwan to sign various agreements. At the same time in Taipei, in the name of preserving the peace, all kinds of peaceful expression of ideas were subject to rough interrogation, abuse, confiscation, prohibition and even detention or arrest. The vast majority of the people who met with police violence were never close to the person of ARATS Chairman Chen Yunlin. Many people were just passing by, stopping to have a look or photographing or videoing and suffered the above mentioned treatment by police.

從 11月3日開始，中國海協會代表團來臺與政府簽署各項協定，同時在臺北各處，就陸續出現警方藉「維安」之名，對各類以和平方式表達不同意見者，進行粗暴的盤查、損毀、沒收­、禁制、拉扯、驅離甚至拘捕。絕大多數遭致警察暴力相向的民眾，根本不曾靠近陳雲林人身，有的市民甚至只是路過、停留或單純拍攝記錄，即遭受上述對待。

@lifey79 DPP has enough support to win 2 out of 3 Taiwanese presidential elections. Without President Chen as a distractor, can KMT win the next election? Quite unlikely. Singaporeans like to meddle in Taiwanese politics when it's really none of your business. You want to return to motherland? Go ahead. We would like to see Singapore become part of China too. @lifey79 The Chinese Communist Party is as corrupt as any government can get. According to your logic, should they step down? Until late 1980s, KMT was still assassinating political dissidents. They sent gangs to U.S. to murder their political opponents. Compared to CCP and KMT, DPP is as clean as politics can get. Besides president Chen, who else can you name? I can name you 100 corrupt KMT and CCP politicians for every DPP corruption case you can name. So stop your hypocrisy.
