Beautifully filmed on location in Devon, Southwest England, Jane Austen's novel about two impoverished sisters searching for true love is brought wonderfully to life in Ang Lee's 1996 adaptation starring Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet, Alan Rickman and Greg Wise. This was one of many Austen films to find their way to the big and small screen that year. "Throw The Coins" along with the end titles from the movie accompany this montage, conducted by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Happy viewing!

  • This is so lovely! I enjoyed it very much, the selection of the pics and the music. <3 Thanks for sharing!

  • @aRICKMAN23LOVER In Thompson's diary account of this film, Rickman apparently had to film the wedding scene before any other in the film. Acting is a wacky profession when you are forced to do everything backwards.

  • Great video! Well done for summing up what I think is one of the greatest and most charming period drama films of all time.

The music, scenes and actors/characters make this film enjoyable to watch, over-and-over again.

  • Great job! You have summed up well what I think is one of the greatest and most adorable period drama films of all time!

  • Great Emma Thompson!!! <3
