Hawk Point Missouri Tornado, April 23, 2010

This is the second of two tornadoes that occurred near Hawk Point, MO on April 23, 2010. This one occurred around or just after 7:30 p.m., about 3 or 4 minutes after the first tornado. Both were brief, although this one lasted a little longer and appeared to be slightly larger. I didn't get video of the first one because I pushed the wrong button on my video camera. I captured this video from a few miles southwest of Hawk Point, looking northeast.

@hmetalgrl20 Yes, in looking at the video, I see that is the case. However, in real time, without the zoom feature of the video camera, it looked like one wide stovepipe structure. But with the zoomed video, it is evident that in fact it was multi-vortex.

I live right in Hawk Point.....im so glad that i didnt actually see this that day. i was nervous enough that day.

I live in Troy, MO a town that is right next to hawk point and me and my family personally watched this go by from are house. Then a few days later we were visiting a mall we decided to leave it early and only an hour later a tornado hit that mall i dont think any damage was reported though.

I was chasing the same cell, I was further away but I still thought I was seeing a multiple vortex tornado as well.
