My advice, the principle is that you get the electricity to get to the coil somehow so that it can spin. Once you got that, then make sure you can feed it energy and just place a neodymium magnet underneath. I got some good neodymium magnets from Michaels - couldn't find then in Home Depot. Once you did this, then you can figure out neat ways to make better ones since you'll get whats going on after the first try. Its really not hard, just make a setup that works and doesn't fall apart.
