The rape scene of Daenerys in the book was actually tamer than in the tv show. I was actually surprised by that, especially considering she's, like, thirteen in the books.

I agree with Cenk (for once, lol) about the rape being true to the setting. The book is fantasy, yes, but it's based on Medieval Europe. Rape was a sad, sad, common fact of life.

I think putting ALL of the rape in the show would be too much. It's one thing to read about it, another to see it.
