The Storyteller's Corner Episode 6: Combat Staging

In this installment of The Storyteller's Corner, we take a brief look at the staging/pacing of combat in fantasy and/or horror narrative, specifically when dealing with physical combat. By staging, I mean the levels of detail that I would recommend as a storyteller utilizing when developing a hostile scenario in a given narrative.

Monday nights at 1 A.M.- Casual Monday. Narrative is of course to be expected, but Mondays are more of a relaxed show without any scripted or outlined material to cover.

Wednesday nights at 1 A.M.- Focus on Fantasy. Narrative techniques, examples, and mechanics are looked at predominantly with a focus on the fantasy genre.

Friday nights at 1 A.M.- Focus on Horror. Narrative techniques, examples, and mechanics are looked at with a focus given to the horror genre. Cinematic examples of horror are far more prevalent than are fantasy cinema from Wednesday's show.
