Favorite song of all time. was lost, so lost. His love has given me life Thank you for this beautiful song to remind all of us whom have been so broken there is nothing God can not fix.

@nickyjackflash It doesn't take a 490p essay to say; A real relationship with Jesus gives you life where you were dead in your sins. Once you are born again, being spiritually alive, you will have all the resources necessary to live in victory over sin; you are no longer its slave but free to live the abundant life Christ has for you.
Why are we Christians so afraid to mention sin? Never, ever should we speak of our relationship with Christ to a general audience w/o mentioning payment for sin.

@ToshiroHoshi With all due respect, this is YouTube for goodness sake...we are dealing with basics here. This isn't exactly the forum for scholarly all-encompassing doctrinal explanations.

@ToshiroHoshi 100% agree; preaching the full gospel is the way to do it. I'm trained in it and do it consistently as an ordained minister and previously as a full-time pastor for many years. I got my B.A. bible college degree and know how to slice and dice theological matters with the rest of 'em. However, just because I didn't write a 490 page theological essay on the topic doesn't mean I have "weak theology".

@nickyjackflash That is, "Christ" paying for our sins--not us. Just wanted to make myself clear there. :)

@nickyjackflash That's good what you said but to represent Christ properly you absolutely must tell people our having a relationship with Christ is all about paying for our sins and setting us free from their bondage of death and destruction. It's the fact that we were dead in our sins and are now alive having been born again. It's so far beyond a mere "changing us in a positive way". Don't be afraid to speak the truth; don't let weak theology mark your life lest it be less effective. peace :)

wow God is prettyyy chill when your having a conversation with him. :)

@nickyjackflash If not for the RELIGION of Christianity, no one would have any context for these lyrics, which would render them relatively meaningless.

We'er both of the same breed, after all...motives for war are of no concern.Religion,Ideology,Reso
urces,Land,Grudes,Love or 'a whim..'No matter how pathetic the reason,it's enough to start a war.We are but men, drawn to the act in the name of revenge we deem to be "justice".But when we call our vengence "justice" it only breeds more revenge...forgeing the first link in the chain of hatred. when all of hell was released on me i went insane so much was happening my wife divorced me my kids rejected me my job let me go and during that time i prayed to god and i asked God "where is the love" and the next day he showed me it and he told me "I will never try you to the point of where you lose faith" ever since it has all been good.
If it bothers you so much why are you visiting this webpage? Answer that one for me. This song is not about religion. Religion is man trying to please God by his works. This song is about relationship with the Creator of the universe. A real relationship with Jesus changes you in a positive way from the inside out. I know it's given me hope and stability during hellish times in my life and set me free from junk that was ruining my life. That's my story. You decide.

This song is amazing, when you really think about the lyrics. I really don't understand why, but I'm tearing up. Maybe it's because I realize that we have a wonderful God.
