6 cylinder Torana vs Evo IX drag race

Holden Torana 202 drag racing a Mitsi EVO 9 at Nelson 2010 Easter Drag meeting. Torana ran 13.40@105.39mph. At the next meeting I ran 12.9and 107mph. I am told this is the fastest normally aspirated 202 Torana on the street. Standard street tires as well!

HOLEEEE SHIT that is a rocket! hot straight sixes are the coolest of engines - don't care if they're fords, hemis, slants, or these little beasty holden.

Hey mate nice work... My xu1 actually ran a 12.1 a few years ago. Also a n/a 202 and has 280bhp. Have rebuilt it since. All same engine, though a new box and diff. Would love to take it to the drags to see the difference. I'll post a vid when I do. Cheers
